Default GSR versus LS oil pan?

OK, rather than pay over $100 for a new GSR pan from the dealer, can I take an LS pan and hack the **** out of it. I mean cut out the oil baffles to make it fit the GSR block girdle and main caps.

prob not a good idea, get the gsr pan, if you bang out the ls pan you weaken it.... speedbump, pothole and bye bye oil pan. i went though the same thing, but if you went though the trouble of doing it the right way (w/the crank gridle) finish the job and get the oil pan... check out http://www.hondrparts.com
