GSR turbo questions??
i have a low mile gsr in my crx (46K).i decided it is turbo time. i only want to make around 290hp and keep it under 10psi as the car will be daily driven and not beat on to hard i want it to last. Heres what i got
rc 440cc
walbro 255
pressure regulator
afc neo for now but soon will get hondata
wideband
cometic gasket and arp studs already installed
30r garret
38mm tial gate
decent intercooler and piping.
decent 3in exhaust
I got it all ready to go just worried about blowing it up. It will be tuned by a local shop well know safe streetable tune. The questions i have is will the stock sleeves without block guard or anything hold around 290-300hp and what is there limit if not. i dont wandtto pull the motor apart. its not goin to be a race car lol. And if driven fairly nicely how long should it last, and what track times should i run. Its a fully gutted crx i ran 14s on the all motor gsr. would like to hear you turbo stories as well so i can decide if i want to scrap this turbo project
thanks dan

I've seen stock Gsr motors put out 350 easy/safely. I wouldn't try and push for any more than that. Man its all in the tune. The car's longetivity relies on the tune and how well you take care of it.
yea def getting it tuned on the safe side just hear that all that would be safe without a block guard is 200hp. so without a BG 280hp well taken care of is a good number to shoot for
Your engine will hold up just fine at 290hp. When you start getting above the 300 mark, is when you need to start worrying about longetivity of your motor at that certain power level.
Tune, Tune, Tune... I'll say it again, the reliability is all within your TUNE! As well as how you take care of the engine. Keep up on maintenance, oil changes, etc. and you'll be fine! But DO NOT cheap out on tuning your motor.
Times? Depends on you. You could be driving a pro drag car, proven for 8's, but that doesn't mean you'll be running that fast. Generally speaking, you should be into the 12's easily on slicks, but again, that is generally speaking.
