Default GSR or SI Tranny in B18B?

Which tranny is better for an all motor B18B? I had a SI tranny but the gears were too short so I swaped in a GSR. Good or bad decision?

You went with the right choice because you didn't like the shorter gearing. Shorter gearing isn't for everyone. I personally would like the shorter gearing, but GSR isn't so bad.

for a daily driver. i would say gsr to. rpms at highway speed would be pretty high with the si. (not like they arent with the gsr though),but its a little better

I second that. even with the GSR tranny you'll be pulling 4.5k just going 70mph on the highway.

thanks for the info. The only difference between these two tranny is just the short gears? How will I do on runs?
