Default GSR oil pan on a LS...

uh I was under the impression that it cant be done without the girdle, tray, and pickup but I have my LS pan off and the GSR pan fits just fine... will my motor reject this forien pan and spontainously implode or what? I don't see any obivous problems this will cause. I would understand not being able to put a LS pan on a GSR but the other way around should work right? Someone please clear this up for me thanks.

Yes, It will work fine. In fact I almost did the same with my old b18a. Anyway I have seen it done before and there was no problems.
