Default GSR or LS tranny?

Do you guys think I'll have a noticeable difference by switching to a GSR tranny?
Also do you think it will lower my 1/4mi ET?
It's on a LS motor with direct port nitrous.
Thanks

How fast are you going on the freeway? At 80mph in 5th gear with an S80 (GSR) you'll be right around 4000rpm. As for a difference, just as mmuller said.

Yes, the ITR diff will fit the GSR trans. I've seen a few in the classifieds around $300-400. Dealer price is higher but cheaper than a Quaife. Of course if you are drag racing, a Quaife has a lifetime guarantee. A clutch type like a Kaz may be better for straight line work than the gear type.

Try to find a guy with a turbo gs-r that wants a LS tranny that is how i got one for my LS. Actually I had 2 offers of si trannys and 1 with the gsr.

My 1/4 mile only went down 1/10 but, it was on a 89 degree day and the prev run was on a 70 degree night so yes and yes

Most people run GSR trannies on their FI motors, in fact that's all we run, even with 26 inch slicks...
