GSR loosing coolant! Cracked block??
So I have a 97 GSR in my hatch and that has pretty much been a nightmare since I put it in. Since the swap the fan never would work and I changed the thermo and switch and the fan would still not work. I then wired the fan up to a switch but sure enough, one too many times it got hot and blew a HG. I replaced the HG and the head pres. checked and machined and re installed. I ran the motor for 50 miles and went to change the oil again and about half a radiator worth of anifreeze came out with the oil. Could this mean there is a crack in a sleeve or the block? If so can it be fixed or do I need to purchase another block? Also the car does not overheat right away in 80 degree weather it will normally take about 100 miles before the radiator is low on coolant before the temp gauge will rize.
Thanks for the help and if a new block is needed would a b20 or LS be better for furture boost?

So I researched how to do a leak down and that will have to wait till I can get the proper tools for it. So has anyone ever seen a slight crack in a sleave or block to cause the coolant to mix with the oil beside a HG?
yes, Ive seen that..
sometimes the stock sleeves crack in a way that isnt easily seen, but under pressure liquids slip by.
I would bet that its a headgasket or surface problem though.

man I have had this car almost a year and have barely been able to drive it cause of this coolant prob. I mean it runs fine and barely shows any signs of a blow hg. This is the second HG installed with the headresurfaced almost .003. I have a blox IM is there any way besides the large coolant line that I could be leaking coolant in that way? I drove it yesterday for about 20 mins with my fan on constant in 80 degree heat with very little coolant loss and no overheating. I'm lost as to what I should do besides getting a new block and trying that, but thats an expensive option...
