i got a gsr swap in my eg and had it for a coupel months just recently started this problem when i start the car is shoots and stays up at 2600rpm then once i drive around it goes down to 2200 and bounces from 2200 to 1200 and does this none stop. also when im driving i have hesitation(sp) in the pedle when i let of completely then press it again. i am stumped please help

- are you getting a check engine light at all?

- have you checked for any vacuum leaks or hoses that have came loose on your intake manifold?

- have you tampered with your engine at all prior to this idle problem happening? (added something, removed something, adjusted something?)

 

IAC valve was my problem. Was having the same idle problem. I think I just took it off and cleaned the screen off. Wont hurt to try.

Follow Katman's instructions, and check for codes as well. Keep us posted with the codes.

ALSO make sure coolant level is good inside the radiator, and no air bubbles inside the water system.

 

my iac is working good adn its clean. im not throughing a check engine light. and i didnt tamper wit the engien prior to it.

maybe its your fast air idle valve .
