Not worth your money. Build up the b18c1 instead.

B18c5 has a b16 head.

agreed!

B18c5 has a b16 head.
the b18c5 head is slightly different from the b16 head...they do have roughly the same combustion chamber but different specs

I hear good things about B20 blocks with Vtec heads. As long as it's done properly you should be fine.

the ITR head is the same casting as the B16/SI head. the ITR head is mildly hand ported and smoothed over from the factory. if you take a B16A head and P&P it then you'll have an ITR head. throw in the ITR/CTR cams and springs and you're set to make good power.

a B20 with reworked B16 head and a nice set of cams/C/R to match can be a quick N/A setup.

imo i think any non vtec engines switched into vtec would wear out quicker than oem vtec motors. it depends if u want reliablity. thats why i chose my engine.

agreed. i prefer an entire B16 or B18C motor, not just a non-vtec block with a VTEC head slapped on it. i know that the LSVTEC/CRVTEC buildups can be decently reliable but i still don't plan on building one for myself. i'll stick with my B18C setup.

I agree CRVTECs and LSVTECs are cool but yea i like the OEM VTEC B series... **** B16's they are gay and have no torque but the B18C is fine with me.. That's my favorite motor even if it can't be the fastest, you don't have to run and external oil line, plug the VTEC feed line in the head, and drill out the dowel pins holes. Don't get me wrong i like my friends CRVTEC/EK 12.62@107 all motor daily driven.. That motor would be hella crazy in an EG, those EK's are hard to move. GSR bored to 85mm with GE sleeves, JE 13.0:1 pistons, Eagle rods, Portflow GSR head with Toda C's, RC 440cc injectors, on a P28 running Hondata 4, in a EG. Now that's the ****..
