greddy catch can mod
my greddy catch can only has the 2 fittings for the hoses to connect to and nothing else like a filter fitting. could i drill a hole on top and tap a fitting in for a filter to go on there? so i can hook 2 seperate lines to the can and they let their air out through the top?
yea as long as you put a filter so there is someway of air to go in... instead of using the supplied one hose to the intake it will be okay.... thats what i plan on doing...
i have the catch can as well and im gonna tap it with a filter and add more inlets...

The resone they have 2 lines is one line in one out. These are closed systems and are not meant to be vented to atmosphere. I know on some cars the air that is pulled from the pcv valve is metered air. this could cause a leaning situationThere are 2 seperate systems the PCV valve and the vent for the valve cover. They are meant to be kept seperate exspecially if there is a turbo involved. The pcv valve is a one direction system. The valve cover vents are a 2 directional vent.
yes but under a turbo situation, you motor doesnt suck through the pcv LIKE ITS MEANT TO. it only blows out excess pressure from boost. and it also all comes from the same place, the same air coming out of the valve cover comes from the same crank case that the **** coming out of the PCV comes from. so im gonna run the lines from the pcv and valve cover to the catch can, and the filter will vent the air out without having oil going everywhere, and some other **** i throw in there like steel wool or something. its is a VERY common practice in forced induction.
