greasing ball joints on the car
Is this possible? And where would I be able to access it? I think my lower ones and tie rod ends need it but don't know where to put it. I just bought a grease gun but there's no fitting or anything that would help me....
Unless your boots are cracked and leaking grease, the joints do not need to be greased. If they are cracked, get some Energy Suspension replacements ($3). Then pack the new ones with moly grease.
well Ijust replaced most of my ball joints, but they're making a knocking sound like they're bad, I was thinking maybe they didn't come pregreased, but I don't konw. I was hopin I could add some but I don't know how.
I don't think I can grease them on the car, I think I have to dissasemble them, which is what I fear. I thought they came pregresed, but they're making a cracking/knocking kind of sound when I turn and accelerate from a stop.

<---- Installed own ball joint with hand tools. Back hurt next day.

The EG ball joints I installed came pre-greased from Honda.
If the front end is making strange sounds after you finished, then you may have done something wrong when you put it back together. I would get down there and double check everything.

That's def. what it's doing. Whenever I make slow turns or accelerate it cracks and knocks. I'm waiting for something to break. It just started happening once I put stock suspension back on, so I'm thinking it has something to do with that
when i did tie rods on my rex, they didnt come greased. they came with the little nipples that you screw into each one, then attach a grease gun and pump it in. after i did this, my non-power steering wheel was MUCH easier to turn
did my ball joints and tie rods a few months ago, none of the parts came pre-greased. Yes you need to take it apart again, and you need to go back to the autoparts store and get a needle attachment for your grease gun, you stick the needle between the post and the boot on the joint and squirt grease in.
However, the fact that you didn't grease the joint should cause it to knock and make noises, you left something loose. So take it apart again, grease your joints and put it together again.
