The only place i've seen those things are at Sears; they are Bolt-Offs. They work great for stripped nuts and bolts, but probably won't help here b/c the nut is rusted SOLID.

Plus they're a bit fatter than a normal socket, and he said he could barely get the socket onto the nut.

Im going to try with a hack-saw blade in a special handle, Although I wont be able to move it far each stroke; elbow-grease along with persistance always pays-off. So Tomorrow morning I should have it off and go get a new stud from honda.

Then i can drop the old cradle rear section, strip it down and put all the good parts onto my new cradle/PAS assembly.

Then itll be time to:
*Raise new rear section of cradle
*Swapout front section
*connect everything up
*Drain the tranny and fit intermediate shaft
*Fill tranny with silktran 5
*Put my new suspension on
*Borrow a low-loader truck and go to Honda for a 4ws Alignment!

then flog the Peugeot run-around and spend the money on the Prelude!
What a plan.

pneumatic hammer or chizzle, will cut the head off clean in a matter of seconds. if you need to save a stud just split the nut and then take it off. But i would also use the easy offs first, would be much easier and save lots of time with grinding and damage. I use easy outs all the time at my work, and they are life savers at times, and ****** in others.

you said you have my favorite tool, the heat wrench (oxy-acetylene). Heat the nut red and hammer on a slightly smaller socket, mix and match english/metric to get the right fit.

Then rachet fast. It will come right off, once the heat of expansion cracks it loose. ... Believe me, us "rust belt" guys, know how to get rusted stuff apart. The heat wrench, don't leave home without it!

Couldnt do itwth the torc as I'd already grinded too much off of the rounded nut on one side to get a smaller socket on and no room to hammer, Ended up dropping the whole system but found somthing really odd that I didnt take notice of, Pics will be up tonght probly
