Default got a new block. need to know what this is for.

the bung in the back of this b18a, right above the oil sending unit is drilled and tapped for something. there is the same casting in my old b18b but it was solid and not drilled. what i need to know is if i need to plug it, im sure i will. and what size plug do i need to use?

yep, that was for a knock sensor. looks like that block was part of an LS/Vtec swap. The non-vtec b18's did not have knock sensors.

that port is for the coolent temp sensor. on non-obd engines it's on the back of the block instead of the thermostat housing.

+1, the knock, if there was one, would be above the water pipe

Coolant sensor.

Also, i highly recommend running the oil line to the head off a sandwich plate in between the filter and the block instead of the tee like that.
