Default Got my cam gears installed...

Hey guys I just got my cam gears installed. I got these from a guy here in TX. They will fit all b-series engines. We pulled -4 degrees timing for the spray. They seem work a lot better than the AEM gears did. They have 5 Torque bolts instead of allen heads = no silpping. Let me know what yall think of the pics and email if you have any questions.

What do you mean by they work better all cam gears do the same thing. Did you have AEM cam gears on it before and they slipped because if the bolts are properly tightened you can one bolt in the cam gear and you can break the cam before you can slip the cam gear.

Good Article in Import Tuner

Just curious did you adjust the cam gear for -4 degrees of timing or the ignition?

The AEM's slipped under the spray. Yes I tightened them down with brute force and every time we hit the N20 the AEM's (both) would slip causing timimng to go to he##. We pulled -4 degrees of "timing" because of the spray.

The coolest thing about these were that I sold my AEM's and then bought these for what I sold the AEM's for. There were really fair priced.

Thanks

It is possible they have been on ebay, but I wansnt aware of it. I was at the track in TX and just happened to see a guy with sets of these for sale. They were half the price of most all competitors, I was really impressed with the 5 bolt setup instead of 3. And the torques dont strip like allen heads do.

He sent me the pics that are in the link. I dont have pics of them in my car yet. Thanks for all the feedback guys.
