Do I Need a New Headgasket?
just wanted to know if i can use an OEM 81 mm headgasket on a 81.5 mm bore block? or do i need to look into either an 81.5 or 82 mm aftermarket hadgasket? thanks.

also, i've been told that the stock gaskets are bored .020 over from the dealer. has anyone ever been able to measure the diameter to verify this?

I used the stock gasket with my .020 overbore. Then again, I blew the gasket with a 100 shot, but my tuner said that the blown head gasket and the melted plug were from a lean onset of the nitrous.

Stock head gaskets are great, but if you don't have head studs or replace the factory bolts when you take the head off you will have problems.
