Good Torque Wrench
Well, I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree. I've got some SK stuff, and I love it. Reasonably priced, and far better than Craftsman. I don't know how on earth it's even in the same class.
I personally don't dig the plastic handles on Facom, so I buy the SK versions, which are the same, other than the handles.

**** Craftsman, mine just broke and it costs $60 for a repair/adjust.
90 day warranty, not lifetime.
I babied that thing too, stored it at low torque settings, etc.

I agree. Dont get craftsman! I also babied mine and stored it in its casing at 20ft-lbs. I tested my craftsman and my cheap $22 one against my friends snap on. The cheap one was within 2% of the snap on. The craftman apparently lost something ..it was 30% lower than what it shouldve been.

Well I guess you get what you pay for.... Crapsman is not the best thing out there, how many times did you use it before comparing it to your friends snap-on ? Did you drop it alot? Snap-on stuff breaks too..... So you can't hate everything... I have some craftsman stuff that I save for breaking... My snap-on guy is good, he can come by almost anytime I call him.

Actually, you can buy a tester and calibrate a cheap one to wihin 2% accuracy or as good as Snap-On. My cheap $23 one still clicks at the same torque as my friends Snap-On click-type. I used to buy a lot tools from the $natch-On Truck. All the tools would just end up like the others and I realized that function is more important than glamour. Some tools from Snap-on are unique, but when I look at their general tools (open-end wrenchs, ratchets, screwdrivers etc.), I know I can find something inexpensive that will last just as long and function the same way ..saves money toward car parts.

You have to buy Snap-On though... Where else are you going to get the mAd SkIlLz yElLoW $9000 box from?
Make one out of wood, use ball bearing & beam for the drawers, rubber mat liners, heavy duty casters ..thats is good enough. You can always add yellow paint and a ******-On sticker. Save the rest for Turbo & FMU.

My co-worker has that one.

yea, its a good idea ot reset it to zero, also, I like the new craftsman professional torque wrenches, and with the lifetime warrenty, all you have to do is save the reciept, and 90% of the time they dont even ask for that.
We've broken many a snap-on tool. Wheel weight remover, snapped at fulcrom. Impact swivel 1/4 metric sockets broke (coil spring inside fell apart) (2 different sockets, 2 different days) Hairline crack on one of our deepwell (hand sockets). One 13/16 wrench cracked at open end. Bluepoint air blower (valve started leaking after a while, no biggie though)....just to name a few. It happens, especially when you use them everyday. I dunno, I love the feel of their wrenches though. Something craftsman doesn't even come close to.
I;m a tech and I broke so many craftman sockets and extension but never a SNAP ON. I have a few craftman tools in my box , 75% of my tools are Snap On. Not all Snap On are good. I hate their impact gun.

Craftsman has a limited 1 yr warranty on their craftsman torque wrenches.
