good tools
Snap-On is one of the best.
Although, I use a craftsman 120 peice (or something like that) mechanics set and I have yet to have a problem (swapped 2 engines with them so far). People say Craftsman break a lot over time, but thats what the lifetime replacement warrenty is for
What tools are you using now?

I buy snap on.
But if you are working out your garage craftsman professional is fine. If you breaking them ANYWAY take them back sears wont ask no questions and give you a new tool.

He had a Craftsman wrench, about 2", for the bolts holding a die-caster to the floor. A couple guys pulling on a 10' pipe, managed to bend it pretty good, & dad had to take it in to Sears. He enjoyed the look on the salesman's face when he handed him the bent wrench. But they got him a new one.
OK that was just a nice story. But if you're breaking ratchet handles, why aren't you using a breaker bar? That's what they're for...

Craftsman wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers etc... are fine.
Rachets, air tools, impact drivers, or pretty much anything with moving parts are best bought from a reputable company. Snap, Mac, Matco are all good. Just need the $$$
You can buy a dozen or so craftsman 3/8 drive rachets for the price of the Snap-on that I own.

Does it just break or is it because you're really torquing it?
But that's why they make breaker bars. There's no ratchet mechanism or other little stuff inside to get broken.
