Good regrind cam for LS head?
I just want to know if any of you guys are running regrinded cams (web, Rockets, Gude in their LS (P75 Head).
I know what a regrind is and what it can do to a head so please dont bother t5o comment about how bad they are.

hello.
I run a Webb regrind cam in my B18A LS motor. I run the motor in a 95 hatch which is raced in the ECHC H1 class. I finished 2nd last year in championship points (was crushed by Jack, the first place contender).
My motor (91 LS B18A) was completely torn down and rebuilt at the beginning of the season. It got new bearings, rings. The head was ported and polished. It got Crower dual valve springs and TI retainers. The cam was ground by Webb and when the engine was put together and broken in, it ran very well. It has a very good idle (700 rpm). It does have a little lope in it, but it will idle all day and pull well from 1000 rpm. It is super streetable, and very torquey. When we do standing starts, I tach the engine up to 2400 rpm and take off. I do well on the standing starts..... It also pulls very nicely up to 8000+ rpm. Too nicely, in fact. I managed to break a valvespring in the last race of the season, smashing one of the valves into a piston. The head is away at the machine shop being fixed right now.
So, to answer your question, the Webb guys do nice regrinds. The cams still look new after 1500 race miles. no visible wear on them....
good luck.
