I am going to be buying an ITR trans With a 4.7 Finaldrive

For a $1000.00 does that sound like a good buy

 

sounds like a deal to me. do u know who had it and that it does'nt grind and it does have the 4.7. if so i'd go for it

 

i've seen them going for almost $1500

 

LSD or not? that makes a big difference too. and i think they even offered more than one type of LSD from the factory, and like the guy said, if you have peace of mind knowing it wasn't abused that helps too.

 

all ITR's came equipped with an LSD from the factory.
if it is indeed an ITR tranny, it will have limited slip.

I bought mine new in the box for $1600 from http://Barancoacuraparts.com

if you want "peace of mind" like somebody up top was talkin' you could always buy new

edit: mine is USDM with 4.40 FD if yours has the 4.70 then it's JDM

 

hells yeah. I work at a friendly Acura dlr, and a new usdm trans is 1900 bucks, w/LSD.

 

custom gearsets FTW!
just pull a b16 trannny apart....
add a 4.7 final drive...
an lsd...
pretty close to the same thing, but not exactly
