Default getting axle nuts off from my engine swap??

Ok.
got my h22a4 1999 complete swap. I need to free up the half shafts off the hubs and i'm use to getting the hub nuts off the car with the car on the ground and the brake on and just wacking the thing with a large hammer.

Any ideas on how to them off with the engine just sitting on the floor???

thanks!

Do you mean you want to take the half shaft bracket off? I'm kinda confused by your post I was gonna say wedge a screwdrier into a slot in the brake disc but I don't know how you got your engine to where you say you got it without already doing this.

ahhwell I tried.

lotsa luck!

lol thats a complete swap alright, sounds like anyway. Pull the axle out of the trannt and put it in a vice and go to town with an air rachet.

well. my original engine is in my car. i got a used engine as a complete swap dropout and the transaxles came attached to the hubs. i'm wondering how I hold the axles still so i can take the large axle nuts off.
Its easy if they are attached to the car and the car is on the ground holding the wheel still so you can pop em off. without the wt of the car, i don't know how i'm gonna get them off!

Just buzz them off with an impact gun, it should come off no problem, even if it is outside the car like that.

1) PB Blaster
2) Torch it for about 3 minutes
3) PB Blaster
4) Attach socket, breaker bar, extensions for a total of five feet
5) Make sure car is in a gear that will give you maximum resistance for the way you are turning
6) Push/Pull like never before

If that doesn't get it off, nothing will.
