General timing question
I have been having trouble with the timing on my car. I have adjusted the timing to the point it can no longer advance because the bolts will not allow the distributor to move any further.
The question is this... I can't get the red-mark to align with the grove for a stock setting. Has anyone else had this problem? If so, how did you correct this?
My car is sluggish when the gas is all-the-way down. I can't figure out how to adjust the timing to move it closer to the red mark. Currently I'm in between the red and the white mark. I have tried the ECU jumping but I still can't move the distributor enough forward to get to the 16 degree mark.

do you think the belt pulley tensioner is the problem?
I have not recently replaced my timing belt. I will check my records tonight and look over the belts tomorrow to confirm when the timing belt was changed.
