I would like to know if there is any place on the B16 that tells you the date or anything that I would be able to see that would tell me it's a first gen or a second gen thanks ?

^^This and the tranny: cable(1st gen) or hydro(2nd gen) is the easiest way to verify 1st gen from 2nd gen b16s. the valve cover is very easy to swap around to fool people so don't rely on that. BTW tranny swapping is the other way to fool people too.
