Any way to tell the difference between a hydraulic LS tranny and a hydraulic GsR tranny>?

I think they are both stamped Y80 with some of the LS trannies stamped S80. Other than this, you'd have to install it, drive it, and see.

most ls,gsr,& type r tranny's are stamped s80
the type r obviously has the lsd and a lsd stamp on the outside of the case
from there i honestly dont know
