Default gear poping - clutch problem?

First gear pops out, doesnt stay. Only time it doesnt do this is when car is cold. My question is the clutch the problem?

Planning to do a clutch job anyways but im wondering if i can mix and match fly wheel, presure plate and clutch disk. I have a act prolite fly wheel and a act heavy duty presure plate. act organic disk as well.

I dont know much about clutches so im guessing just replace the clutch disk. Because plate and flywheel doesnt seem like it would go out. But my question is can i use another clutch with my existing plate and flywheel. ie exedy, stage 1 2 3 , oem ?

THANKS IN ADVANCE!!

WHat year Ford?

What Chevy Motor?

What Dodge tranny?

Without any of that info I will guess the input shaft bearing is GONE.

sorry, i always forget the info. Its a 94 accord with h22a1 m2f4 tranny,

All started when the shift cable snapped and got stuck in first gear. I drove it about 5 miles on a on first ocasonally reving it high to go up hills. Got the cable changed and then it started poping out. We measured the shift cables and the old one was about a half inch longer. but im guessing the old one stretched and thats why it snapped.

i mean trannys are different but should be in the same concept. I just need to know if i should be ripping apart the tranny or clutch. I just keep replacing things that i dont need to.
