How about a picture of what is going on? Maybe something that points out exactly what fittings are not tightening up? It would help us out.

I'm using the GEM oil filter block also.....my 6AN Earls hose ends fit fine. What line kits are you using?

Make sure that the lines are fully seated in the hose ends before you tighten the fitting to the hose. Are the fittings tight on the hose? Did you install the -6AN/3/8NPT head adapter from the GE kit?
This is what I used:
-6AN SS line
-6AN hose ends, swivel type
-6AN/3/8NPT adapter for head

i'm using the fittings that came with the ge kit. i ordered a ss line from a local auto parts store, it came with a 6an female connecter on both ends. when i screw it into the male ends of the fittings that came with my ge kit it goes on tight but the female end of the ss line still swivels. isn't the connector on the line suppose to tighten up with the ss line. and no i can't get pics. right now because the line is at my house and i'm at work. thanks
