Default G25a4 WTF?

Got bored tonight and looked up the motor on a 2.5TL. Its a 2.5liter inline5 SOHC non-VTEC that produces 176hp. I wanna know what a Gseries will hook up to, whether it be F or Hseries tranny or if it would work with a J or Cseries tranny.

Just wondering cause i've never heard of this motor or anything about a Gseries and would like some more info on it.

why would you bump it?

The engine sits longitudal with a FWD transmission, same as the Acura Vigor.

Well why not? Mounts would have to be custom made, but its not like thats unheard of, how long ago was an H22 swap impossible without custom mounts, and yeah i know about the transmission, and as far as being longitudinally aligned a civic/integra engine bay would be long enough to fit it, only thing is wiring, axles, and transmission, But a little research leads me to believe it will accept H/F series tranny's so with the use of an adapter plate (i.e. QSD's kit) A b series tranny would fit as well. Sure its non-vtec, but you have 2500cc's of 5 cylinder goodness to play with. If you can put a C35 in a civic why not a G25?

What in God's name are you talking about? Nowhere in this thread was there any mention of a swap and now you're defending the possibility of a swap. Who are you arguing with? What in the hell are you talking about???

Also, who has a C35 Civic swap? I've done a J35 Civic swap before, but C35? Post a link man.

PS - a B-series transmission probably not going to work, I can't explain to you why as I don't think you'd understand, but the 5 cylinder engine sits longitudal, so if you put an adapter plate on, your axles would be coming out of the transmission front to back instead of side to side.

Oh... I posted another thread about this and forgot which one I was replying to.
and sorry, not c35 -> j35.

This is what I was refering to, but also, it doesnt sit longitudinally, SO... I get it.

I drive the 2.5TL. The motor, being the only G-series out there for Honda, has very few parts on the market aside from replacements. It's pretty good as far a smoothness, but the power side is pretty weak.

NOTE: the motor is desperate for air. the first coins should go to intake and exhaust.
