Default Funny Noise Coming from my b18c

I got a JDM b18c with about 15000 miles on it and some funny noise is coming from the motor.
Symptoms -
It is a sort of whirring, squeaking sound and only makes the noise after is has been warmed up and driven for a while. at first, i would only do it when my revs woud drop, like at an idle or something. so i would rev it a touch, it would go away till the revs dropped, and then come right back. Since then it has gotten worse. Now it whirs all the time up to and through 3 grand.

Where it is coming from -
It "sounds" like it is coming from the drivers side of the motor. Almost like it is coming out of the cam gears. It almost sounds like a worn bearing noise. I listened to both sides of the cam shafts with a stethescope and seems to sound alright and i the same on both sides. I dont have p/s or ac so i know it isnt those.

Why??
I did install cam gears and the noise didnt start till afterwards. also, i bought the cam gears used and one of the 6 bolts on it stripped and currently is on. An old p/s hose moved over and some of it got worn awy by touching the timing belt. The very edge of the timing belt got a little wear and I will be replacing it within the next 2 weeks. Also the timing belt doesn't seem to hold tension on the front side of the motor very well. I tighten it and soon after it flaps a little at idle.

Overall, the motor still seems real strong, but there is just this damn noise. If anyone has any help, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks a lot

Did you check the water pump when you changed the cam gears?? I would also check to make sure that your tensioner is tight... if it is a little loose it could cause you belt to side out towards the t-belt cover.... I would just pull the crank pulley, t-belt covers, t-belt, and water pump to check everything... If everything seems fine then just put it all back on but make sure you have everything tight and set correctly... Good Luck

No, I didnt check the water pump, but that sounds like a viable culprit. I will change it when I change the timing and alt belt. Hopefully that is all it is. I also think the spring in my tensioner is going. I'll see about changing that too. Does anyone know if you can just buy the spring or would I have to buy a whole new tensioner???
Thanks a lot
