Default Fuel or vacuum?

have a 97 CX hatch with H22a Swap. All stock except for clutch. Oh and the wiring...converted CX harness to OBD1 harness and am using Hondata (i think) OBD11 to OBD1 harness conversion. Having hestitation problem when accelerator is depressed. Unless depressing accelerator VERY slowly, the enging bogs and wants to die. If I continue to press accelerator, as revs build the engine bogs, spits. Car is undrivable in this state.

Any advice on what to check for?
Thanks

I would check the timing first, and the timing advance if you have an advance timing light.

how does it idle? if it idles smoothly i'd guess it would be fuel or timing related. like the previous dude said, check your ignition timing. check your cam timing too. also, do u have a fuel pressure gauge hooked up? if not, make sure your getting 40 psi w/the fpr vacuum hose unplugged and clamped shut. then plug it back in and see if your fuel pressure changes when u rev the motor.
