Default Fuel pump delay...

Installed my walbro 255 and everything has been fine for the past 2 weeks. I was out last night and parked the car, when I came back to the car and turned the ignition to prime the pump nothing happened. About 10-15 secs later the fuel pump came on....

What can this be?

Well it appears that the problem is getting worse. I let the car sit for 3 days without trying to prime the fuel pump and this time it took 2 minutes. I actually talked to some honda techs, 2 different dealerships and they all told me to wait till the car stops starting to diagnose the problem. In other words. Wait until your stranded at work, call a tow truck, and have it be a total inconvenience. That is like telling a person to get a extremely before going to see a doc.

I think I will try to reset the ECU and see if that resolves the problem. If there is anyone else that has resolved this issue, please chime in.

Could be a problem with the pump, PGM-FI Main Relay or the ECU.

Do you hear the PGM-Main Relay "click" on when you turn on the ign.?

The PGM-FI Main Relay "clicks" 3 times...

First click is the fuel injector relay turning on, [controlled by the ign. switch].
The 2nd click is the fuel pump relay turning on, [controlled by the injector relay (power to coil] and the ECU/ECM [ground to coil].
The 3rd click is the fuel pump relay turning off, [ground from ECU/ECM is dropped]

Keep in mind the first and second clicks will sound like one click as they are very close together, to be sure what the problem is you will need to do some testing at the PGM-FI Main Relay.

What is MM&Y of car?94

had that problem with a 92 integra gsr the problem was the solder on pin seven of connector a in the ecu the heat caused it to loose connection via stress cracks the delay comes from current heating up the connection just put new solder on it and it now starts at the turn of a key it sat for three years so glad I got that figured out
