I just rebuilt my d16z6. I now have about 3,000 highway miles on it. For some reason when i drive and stop at a red light the car idels at 1,000 untill i tap the gas then it goes down to the normal 600. I tried spraying the throttle body(nothing). If anyone could help please post. And what regular maintence should i be doing to my engine (oil,hoses,fuel filter, etc).

 

did u make sure your throttle cable wasnt hung up somtimes the gommet in the fire wall pops out same thing happend on mine

 

spray out the idle air control valve (IACV) with carb cleaner.
