Just finished my swap in my 99 ex, 1st crank turned it on perfectly, let it sit for a day then when i went to start it again it was smoking and smelling strong like gas, and when i checked the problem was the injectors are staying open dumping to much gas, i changed ecu's to see if that was the problem but it wasnt, i checked and somehow a negitive got power, that is most likely the cause huh?
Was the ground that you checked actually grounded when you checked it? You know that the ground wire will test power until you complete the circuit and actually make it a ground. Otherwise it's very poorly grounded and that will give a power reading too.

yea it was connected, i put a different ecu but the same as mine (p30) i found out that the ground bhind the dizzy has power, so im guessing theres a shortage somewhere? we followed the negitive that has power to the plug thats infront of the steering wheel in the engine bay that leads to the inside fuse box
