Default Fuel leak, HELP!

I have a small fuel leak comming from the bottom of my fuel filter. Aperntly it has been leaking for awhile, now before you flame me, its not alot, i noticed a little "sludge" coating the fuel line.

now after some testing, it only leaks right when i turn the car off, seems to be caused by the higher pressure of the line at that moment. it does not leak a drop at all while driving. i was thinking of trying to wrap some teflon tape around the threads of the fitting at the bottom of the filter to stop it

any other sugestions? thanks

sorry maybe i wasn't clear enough, the filter itself isnt leaking, the fitting at the bottom of it is. I took it apart this morning and everything seemed fine, put it back together and now it leaks worse

one question, is there a rubber gasket that should be in this fitting? mine does not have one. if there is then that would be my problem

No, there are no rubber gaskets, yes, there are 4 brass rings, and yes, you should use teflon tape. Just be careful not to get too happy with that stuff and put too much on or some can break off and get into your fuel stream.
