Fuel...
Hey guys! I'm sure there's been a lot of post(s) for a topic like this, but not for my car. I just need a little advice for getting the best fuel mileage out of my HB. I keep forgetting to reset my "trip" mile gauge, so I don't know the city/highway numbers for sure, but I do know that my boss, the previous owner of the car, said it gets mid-20s in town and late-20s to early-30s on the highway, but I have yet to comfirm it for myself. I am just asking because I seem to refill the tank (usually there's one-half to one-fourth left) every week. Luckily it only costs about $8 or so for every fill up. Since I'm new to the Honda scene, I don't what's normal and abnormal. I know that rapping the engine @ high rpms drains the gas quicker, but other than not rapping it, what do you suggest? In case it helps, my HB has a rebuilt JDM ZC engine, which requires 91 octane gas for the best performance. Let me know your thoughts on the matter...
I read your post 2x and still do not fully understand what you are asking. I am mixed between:
1. Am I getting the right amount of miles out of my car?
2. What should I do to get the best mileage out of my car?
I am not even sure I am right....if you cleared it up a bit...I am pretty sure we can help you!
Peace

Another major thing is your tire pressure, keep it in check. Also adding i/h/e gives you a few more mpg allowing the engine to "breathe" easier. Any weight reduction or drivetrain loss reduction also helps.
My 90 DX Sedan with jus a short intake and cam gear (I got them b4 I knew dick about cars
) gets 33 on avg and at best 37 all highway.

They also make you more willing to put your right foot down. That would not be good for gas mileage.
