Default front end shuddering when cold

funny thing...
when its really cold out in the morning my car has a front end vibration until I've been driving it about a mile or two and it warms up then its smooth even high speed on the highway. Any ideas? everything seems tight underneath, tie rods not bent, etc.

thanks

This feels like a chassis vibration!

My 1st gen 'Teg did this ... but the car had to be sitting out in freezing temps for at least a few hours (such as overnight). I never found out what it was but the noise/vibration (sounded like a speed-sensitive thump, thump, thump!) went away when I changed my shock absorbers.

thats kind of what I was wondering--possibly the shocks that are too stiff when cold?
