Default front crank seal HELP

ive done went threw 7 an everyone of'm leaked hard. the last one worked for about a week. is there anything yall ever done to fix it other than replacen the crank?

i did it right not with a seal driver, the cranks got a nick in it an i wasnt gonna put another one in untill i knew there wasnt noone thats ran into it an figured out what you could do about it. it worked good leavin it out a little bit but when i was tunin last night it started leakin again. if it jus spun im silicone it in an see how it works. sound like a good idea?

you can use emeroy cloth to get the bur out if it is small . how bad is the nick?

dang, doesnt sound to good...cranks arent that expensive tho...not an OEM used.

yea i heard about that cloth, how much? the nicks bad but not to bad, i was gona say expletive it an tke it out an go ahead an throw the d17crank an some d16a1 pistons but i needa fix it quick, i aint gotta ride to work.

say what d17 crank in a D16? friends got an extra crank if ya need one out of his shitty d17 vtec that exploded after 30k miles.

how much you think he wants for it? yea i MIGHT go ls rods in it, i gotta figure out what kinda rods ima use an see if i gotta take it to the machine shop or not.

u dont need a new crank.. but if it has a nick in it, it needs to be polished up. take it to a machine shop and see if they can do it for a few $$

if ima take the motor right back out ima go ahead an use a different crank anyways. its bad enough to be replaced but ima tryin figure somethin out for it.

i aint get on here to hear **** about i cant talk over a computer.

i tore everything down today an turns out the crank seal wasnt leakin anymore, its the cam seal. thats 2 front seals that done started leakin.

yall think i needa tear it down an have everything balanced?

i dont think anything being out of balance would cause leaking... sounds to me like some seals have just gone bad and need replacing

thats the point, i aint the type that juss buys a motor an throws it in. i checked everything an put all new gaskets in it. the cam an crank front seals are brand new, i went threw a couple crank seals before i had to rig it an now it the front cam seal. idk what the hells goin on with it
