Default fried ECU because of larger injectors?

my friend just barely put a GReddy kit on his 99 EX, he used the 310cc injectors, but didnt have the E-manage wired up yet. he got a CEL, but now someone is telling him that it ruined his ECU because of the injectors. could this happen or is it a bunch of BS?

bunch of bs as long as you wired the clips correctly. if theyre RC's theyre high impedience just like your factory ones but if theyre low impedience you could possibly ruin the ECU

im pretty sure they're high impedience, they're the 310's that came in the greddy kit, so i dont think they'd put the wrong type of injectors in there.

That is a safe assumption, however running the "other type" of injectors (peak and hold), without a resistor box can blow the injecotr driver circuitry of the ecu.
