Default Frankenstein a transmission?

I'm curious about how itnerchangeable B-series transmission parts are.

I have the following parts:

GSR 1-5 & reverse gears and synchros
GSR differential
JDM ITR 4.875 FD w/ JDM 1st gear

When my tranny blew, the inside of the casing got real messed up, but only the final drive gears got chewed up. I'm having a hard time locating a used GSR tranny casing, but have come across a few LS cases. Would the GSR inerts and JDM final drive fit into an LS case without any problems?

basically, i've got a whole transmission, but not a case.
