Default Forged pistons or rods??

hello, i am currenty spraying a 50 shot on my d16 SOHC motor. I am planning on moving up to a 75 shot, but i want to make my motor a little stronger first. I don't have a lot to spend so would i benifit more from forged pistons or forged rods? if i get the forged pistons, i have heard LS rods can be modified to work in a d series motor. and also some better rod bolts.

dont do 1 without the other
if you are going to take the time bo tear down your engine the minimal cost to replace the other one is well worth it.

well what is your budget first? that will determine where the money should be spent. lets say you have $1600.00 that will get you the forged pistons and a full fresh rebuild on the block. and another $350 or so more should get you rods as well. just some numbers to give you an idea.
