flywheel question
Sorry for the noob question, but I have to know. I just ordered a clutch kit for my turbo LS which didn't include a flywheel. My question is that is it imperative that I get a new flywheel with my clutch kit? can I get by just resurfacing my stock one? What would be the reasons for having to get a new one?
thanks
thanks
well some people want a lightened flywheel over stock and some people beleive that a lightened one will through off the balance of the motor,
you don't really need a new one, u can just resurface your stock one

A lightened flywheel will allow the car to rev a little faster but will also slow down faster between gears like when shifting.
Resurfacing could be as much as 75.00.
Email handcommand either on H-T or on ebay. He has stock resurfaced and lightened flywheels that weigh 12.8 pounds versus 18 of a stock one.
I use one of these and really like it. Sturdy, lighter and OEM.
