Re: quick question about FLYWHEEL :) (jdmboss)
It's recommended to replace it when it starts going bad lol... You can take a look at it anyways, and i'd say at 185k miles assuming it's the stock flywheel replacing it would only be for the best...
You can get an oem clutch kit for like $60 clutch/flywheel so I don't see any harm in just replacing it for state of mind anyways...

If you need to buy a clutch for it, I would definitely recommend changing it. However, you need to determine what your plans are for this car first. I wouldn't just resurface the stock one, or just buy a OEM replacement if you plan on modifying...you will regret it later when it starts slipping.
However, if you're planning on turbo, you can simply get away with just resurfacing the stock flywheel. But you will definitely need more than an OEM replacement clutch

For my 1989 Civic Si,....i bought an exedy oem clutch of ebay, and some F1 flyhwheel that was about 8-10 lbs.......The flywheel i had to get used to again, i actually stalled the car a few time the first week, but after getting used to it again.....i loved it. Revs are so responsive, for downshift blips. You sorta get used to the feeling, like all mods, but driving other manual cars with stock flywheels feel like ****. I say go light, the lightest chromoly you can get (will also be cheaper)

that sums it up really. Without knowing your wants and needs out of this car, i'd buy an oem clutch and flywheel.

Re: (1CaMw0nDeR)
And I assumed she was old, because she sold a car for $250 bucks, meaning she's probably been around since cars were $250 bucks brand new...
