Default flywheel lightweight or stock

i have a gsr motor and turbo. people are telling me to leave the flywheel stock
my question is why? whats wrong with getting a lighter flywheel? its like 20lbs right now.

there is nothing wrong with something like an 8lb fidanza. just make sure you have a grasp on the pro/cons.

I have a Competition Clutch 8 lbs flywheel and I having trouble coming up with any cons.

I've switched almost every honda i've owned over to a 8 or 10lb fidanza/act flywheel.

about the only con i've noticed is you have to get the RPM's a bit higher when engaging the clutch to get the car to move without stalling ... maybe because of less rotational mass ...

was your car turbo? will it spool quicker? and i guess id lose revs faster when i put in the clutch?

See if you can drive one before you buy one the clutch feel and how u lauch is pretty differnt.

i have a 7lb on my NA b16 set up. only real con I found is daily driving it falls out of rev's fast between shifts

i hated my fidanza. the only thing i like about lightweight flywheels is that it's a brand new flywheel so it mates to a clutch almost perfect..

but i was a powershifter and the time my foot and clutch were simultaneously pushed in i would occasionally bounce revlimiter

it'll just rev faster. So it'll be either easier/harder to drive depending on what youre doing
