If the motor is already in the car, its going to be more difficult to do the install by like 30 fold! Visit http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/b...h/clutch.html, they have awesome step by step how to remove the tranny casing and clutch so you can get to the flywheel. I would then get a Helms manual to compare the to. That book is like the bible when it comes to Do-it-yourself mods for your car. I would reccomend if you already have the engine out, switch flywheels out then like i did . You will be amazed how much easier it is to get to bolts and you can as well as more room to work with.

I agree that it's much easier to do with the motor out and way less time consuming because all you really have to do is pull the tranny, take out the clutch, and remove the flywheel it takes maybe 30 minutes. With the motor in the car ur gonna have to take out the axles, shift linkage, passenger side motor mounts, clutch cable or line depending on the car and other related stuff which would probably take 2 and a half hours. In the end it's all up!

Before i did my engine swap i had my stock 1.5 non-vtec DX pushing over 160000 miles on it, leaking oil from 2 places on the block, slipping clutch and a messed up fuel regulator. My car was all show no go! I had my engine, LS that is, sitting in my garage for over a month before i could finally install it in. Waiting gave me enough time to put a ACT xtreme clutch with heavy duty street disc, clutchmaster flywheel 9lbs, changed the timing belt, a/c belt, alternator belts, etc etc. When i finally put that bastard in after over a month, and spending many hours alone with my engine , made me appreciate more what i was doing and how patience, cause my job sucked as well, can sometimes be worth it. Just hang in there, trust me your day will come as well!

yea i know
heres my situation
about to hit 100k 94civic ex, stripped valve cover screw, now torn control arm boot
mounts are weakening, transmission is F U C K E D. too much **** wrong with it to list, lets just put it this way, my reverse lights. they dont go off. only in 5th gear. and the problem is not electrical its been traced to tranny. (probably backwards shift linkage inside trans.) 3rd gear is *** raped. at least it looks and sounds cool
but for flywheel 450 for the TODA one is a little high. ill spend the exrta 5 hours working on car to get it in after christmas. car isnt gonna make it much longer hehe
