flywheel hotspots?

Default flywheel hotspots?

hey i got this chromoly flywheel its f1 racing brand, i used it for a few months on my lsvtec and when i took it apart to put my new block on i see the flywhell has 3 hotspots on it. is the flywheel still good to use or is it junk now?

that is the back side........what does the friction surface look like?

If you can't have it resurfaced and get into fresh, unheated metal, I would think twice about reusing it. Once you get an alloy that hot it's properties change.

i used a 6 puck clutch and the contact surface has a slight dark tint to it on the other side of the 3 hot spots
