Well they need to be torqued to 85, and I know some craftsmen torque wrenches stop at 75. So just tighten them really tight, I mean really tight, and use some thread locker and you will be fine. While you have it out, change the bearing inside the flywheel to.

I would recommend buying a torque wrench, even a cheap one will do for a flywheel... 76ft/lbs. is all it takes for a B series motor and 87ft/lbs. in the SOHC world... I'm sure you could get away without torquing it but I would NOT recommend that at all... Get a torque, resurface the flywheel, pop everything back on, and you'll be set... Good Luck

EDIT: NOT ALL CRAFTSMAN TORQUE WRENCHES STOP AT 75ft/lbs., maybe the 3/8" drive but the 1/2" goes to 150... If you wanna spend some money invest in a Snap On, that's what we use at the shop... We only use them on motor stuff tho, the Craftmans and stuff are for torquing wheels, etc...

I agree buy even a cheap one (which is still accurate) I bought one for like $30 bucks or so from Autzone and it goes from like 15-90 ft.lbs or something like that. I must say that it seems to be right on as well. They all have to be within some kind of specs so even a cheaper one would be fine. Also the one I bought has a lifetime warranty so well if i feel its off I will just get a new one.
