I'm one of those guys that likes to change vital fluids on schedule or earlier.
How would I go about flushing and bleeding the PS rack. I've heard of
disconnecting the return line into a bucket while add PS fluid. Correct?
Is there another way? How about bleeding the PS lines. Help?
Thanks in advance guys.
Yes, I know, the search button is being a little b.

Raise the front wheels off the ground, put the return line in a bucket. Idle the engine while turning wheels back & forth all the way 2 or 3 times. Don't leave the engine run any longer than you have to. Sometimes its easier to drain from one of the lines down low near the crossmember under the radiator. Make sure it's really a P/S line, not A/C or tranny fluid.
Reconnect, refill, run engine & turn wheels back & forth all the way a couple times. The reservoir will get frothy from air bubbles, but it settles out. Repeat a few times until it doesn't foam. You don't need to 'bleed' the system any other way since air will naturally collect in the reservoir. Just keep topping up the level as the foam settles.

To drain the fluid you could disconnect either of the hoses to the reservoir. But it's not easy to get a funnel or bucket underneath that. My car has a long loop of steel tubing in front of the radiator, to help cool off the PS fluid. There's a rubber hose & clamp that I can undo right on that. It's low, near the ground, just forward of the radiator. I don't know if all Hondas have this little cooler...
