I have these "flat spots" in the powerband as I drive. I happens between 2-4k. I didn't have this before but the are VERY noticable...

I just have replace my distributor,cap,rotor.

Also we have done timing on the car. What could be the cause of this?

 

did this happen before? or just happen

most likely if u didn't add more mods...its maintenence issues
how is the air filter?
valve adjustment?
ect.....

 

Well I switch out my short ram to a AEM CAI. The filter a tad bit dirty. I wouldn't think it would be the intake because these flat spots are very noticable...then again I could be wrong.

 

you are noticeing the high shots in the powerband.

 

Well I'll test it out tomorrow with my old short ram. I did have a AEM CAI on my other car and it wasn't this noticable of these "high" and "low" spots that it gives. I mean even the passenger can notice there is a difference.

It's like I'm accelerating and all of a sudden you loose power for a second or two.
