Fitting Miata wheels on a Civic..
Ok I am aware that the inside has to be grinded out to fit and I am in the process of doing just that. But do I need to grind out the entire thing all the way to the front, or just the inside. I know somebody has done this...BTW these are '91 miata wheels. 14x5.5"...Thanks.
Why would you grind and weaken something that pretty much if it fails has your life on the line?
Hello wheel spacers.
Hello wheel spacers.
Anyways does anyone know anything to help me??
a machine shop is the right spot to do it right, bore out the center for the larger "register" of the Honda hub.
but yes you can do it yourself with a few home tools / grinding bits.
you need enough clearance for the hub register, whatever its diameter is an dwhatever distance it protrudes past the wheels mounting surface... on the rotor hat face actually. Cant be that deep, what maybe a quarter inch?
well nice choice on wheels and good luck

Thanks Owen that is basically what I wanted to hear.
I took them to a machine shop that is in front of the shop where I work and they said that were not sure if that could do that.
..So that meant I was goning to be doing it my self.
