Default first generation b6 tranny

will a hydro tranny from a newer b series bolt up and work on a b16 that originally had a cable?just curious

Yes, but you will have to change the clutch disc. S1, J1, Y1 Cable trannies have 25mm input shafts while the hydaulics have 26mm input shafts.

dont forget 92-93 cable trans.. they also use the 26mm shafts

Good point Tony.

I left that out because I thought it would be confusing. But if you have a "grey plug" B16A cable motor then you will NOT have to change the disc.
