Re: Firing problems (coldpimpin)
Didi you check to see if you had the firing order right and also check to see if you have spark...you you have spark, you probably have the firing order wrong.

Re: Firing problems (coldpimpin)
Just to be safe I would put a spark plug in the spark plug wire but if your car was working before you changed everything...it should be the firing order. worse case is the ignitor.

Re: Firing problems (PHDZINE)
I had problems starting it when it rained outside. That made me think it was the cap getting moisture inside, then all of a sudden one day it just wouldnt start.

Yo similar thing happened to me on my 90 accord. I changed out the fuel filter one day, cranked it and it started making a crappy sound. I pulled out a spark plug boot put the end of a screw driver in. Then i held the stem of the screw driver a couple millimeters away from a bolt head and guess what it didn't arc(no spark). So i bought a ignition coil and ignition module. Only changed the coil and it cranked right up.

First of all like the other user was saying check to see if you have spark. Un plug a sparkplug wire and stick a screw driver in and boot and hold it close to the engine block while cranking. This will tell you if you have any spark at all. If you do have spark them continue checking firing order. If everything is fine i would then assume you would need to replace the dizzy due to TDC,CKP, and the other sensor if you have it in the dizzy. If you want to get more inpedth before calling a distributor get a multimeter out and get a distributor plug wiring diagram and test. Also if you keep cranking the car other trying to diagnose this car i would recommend you change the oil once you get it started as your oil will now be full of gasoline. The gas will break down the oil and you don't want that as it can get very thin.
