hey katman
what kind of differences did you feel or gain from the FD? and LSD? and both? I know you have a k20, but didn't you say you had a b18?

I'll take that into consideration, but can you tell me before and after times? or time you think you've shaved off b/c of the two?

When I had my B17 back in 99, I used both an ITR LSD & 4.7FD at the same time. The acceleration was mad tiite y0! way better than a 4.40. You'll totally notice it right off the bat....oh yeah, I suggest lightening your flywheel too. You'll have some snappy-*** acceleration . You'll rip through gears pretty quick. When I went B18 I ran the same tranny setup, but opted for a GSR 2nd as I already mentioned.

I'm not into drag racing and have never clocked my car on the 1320, but others have shaved off close to 1second or so off they're 1320 time...

Stop asking questions and get that sheit in your car! its a worthy upgrade!

$375 isn't a bad price for the kit. I paid around $400-450 back in 99 for my kit

maybe check out the syncros for excessive wear, but if youre tranny is shifting fine & doesn't grind, iz all good.

If you wanna get your stock f.wheel shaved down, knock it down to abou 12-13lbs. Usually aftermarket f.wheels are 8-10lbs. I'd opt for a 12-13lbs imo

So, would a 4.7FD in a gsr tranny shorten all the gears? How would gearing be in comparion to a JDM b16 tranny?

Im debating on going with a b16 LSD tranny or putting a 4.7FD into a gsr tranny. Both would cost about the same but the gsr wont have LSD. My car is a 1.8L with a decent amount of torque.
