Default a few questions

I recently swaped a d15b7 in my honda CX, after the wsap my spedo jumps and sometimes it does not work at all. it is a 92 so the spedo has a sensor, also i wired in the O@ sensor, based on what i read in the ERM from honda, when you start the car the check engine light comes on if you drive for a few minutes and then shut the car off and start it back up the check engine light stays off. i have not had the codes read, The clock on the dash resets itself every time the car is turned off prior to the swap everything worked. the biggest enigma is the dash clock... did i miss a ground, both grounds to the motor are in place and tight, the spedo is the biggest concern has anyone experianced this??

The speedo jumping around most of the time means the VSS connection will be dirty or there is a problem with the vss unit itself.

Try to pull out the clip and unbolt the actual gear and try to clean it up as much as you can

please explain the location of the clip and the gear on the VSS, I put the one that was in my tranny in the tranny that came with the d15b7 because the one that was in that tranny had the wire cut and mine had a connector.

so you know where it is...the clip I'm refering to is the connector wire that goes to the VSS. Pull out the gear again, and clean it aswell as the connector

will do, i dont rember a gear on the sensor, "but i was in a hurry" and i take your word for it, i have no dought that you know more than me about these cars. i will clean the connector and see if that makes a diffrence, and if it does not i will remove the sensor and clean the gear.

about the clock. what would make it reset every time the car is restarted? oh and is there somone out there that could take a PIC of the inside of the fuse cover for the incab fuse box for a 92 - 95 civic. maby its a missing fuse all the fuses that are inthe box are good but there are blank fuse slots, sorry for the wording, and spelling tonight its friday night.... .

The VSS is bolted onto the transmission with 1 or 2 10mm bolts. Unbolt it and pull out the actual mechanism and you will see what I mean,

hard to explain it without a picture
